Located across the street from the Hotel California in Todos Santos, Tequila Sunrise Bar and Grill has been serving customers since 1985. This family-owned restaurant is best known for its margaritas, especially the Damiana Margarita, as can be seen by the big posters for different types of margaritas on the walls. The restaurant offers seating outside on the sidewalk and inside the restaurant. We decided to choose a table inside. A very large group was at the back of the restaurant with the server describing everything on the menu.

The menu offers Appetizers – guacamole, ceviche, grilled cheese – Salads, Quesadillas, Chile Rellenos, House Specialties – shrimp, fish-of-the-day, Mexican combinations, steak, enchiladas, grilled chicken, moles, and more. While we were reviewing the menu, our server brought us some tortilla chips along with two salsas to enjoy while we sipped on our drinks.

For our lunch, Diego selected the enchiladas and I decided to try the Fish Filet with Shrimps in a garlic sauce. The Fish special was served with a large salad with lettuce, tomatoes, pine nuts and parmesan cheese, which we shared. Diego’s enchilada platter had three enchiladas covered in a green sauce with rice and beans. My fish-of-the day was a very large piece of sea bass with two shrimp and chopped vegetables on top, two shrimp on the side, rice, and an excellent green garlic sauce. The portion of fish was so big that I took more than half of it home with me. The flavors were great.
