TIKI SANTOS BAR.

Located at east end of Calle Rangel on a dirt alleyway in Todos Santos is Tiki Santos Bar. Open from Friday to Monday, this palapa covered restaurant is truly a hidden gem. There is a sign on a surfboard at the end of the alley and on the front of the restaurant announcing the place. Entering the restaurant, there is a bar on the right and tables under a palapa on the left. An open area by the bar includes a photo board of a Hawaiian couple with a space for your faces to have a photo taken as well as a lounge area to just sit and drink.

My server offered me the menu and soon brought a basket of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa to nibble on while I reviewed the menu. The menu included appetizers – ceviche, Caesar salad, guacamole, shrimp aguachile, oysters and more – tostadas, tacos, hamburgers, fajitas, burritos, and shrimp and fish cocktails. I decided to try the Sashimi Tiki Santos and an order of chicken tacos. The platter of sashimi was large with a least 16 pieces of tuna on top of slices of cucumber and covered with avocado, onions, and small slices of jalapeno peppers. The spicy sashimi was excellent. Each of the two chicken tacos in the order had several large pieces of grilled chicken with coleslaw on top and guacamole and salsa on the side to garnish the tacos. These too were a great choice.

The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, the service was great, the food portions were large and the flavors very good.
