Dawn Solomon owned a small restaurant/hotel in Jamestown CA, near the Amador County Wineries Her passion for wine was so great that she actually wrote a book on wine tasting (Dawn’s Insider Guide to Wine Tasting in Napa Valley – available on Amazon). When she moved to Los Cabos, she brought her passion with her and started to spend a lot of time in Valle de Guadalupe learning a lot about Mexican wines to add to her already extensive knowledge of California wines. As one of the founding members of the Cabo Wine Club, she decided to arrange wine-tasting dinners at some of the local restaurants in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
With a growing following, where possible she invites wine makes to tell their story and works with the chef in the restaurant to arrange a four-course tasting menu with which the wines can be matched. These events have become very popular (and support both local restaurants and the Mexican wine industry). She has also used her passion for wine to host special charity events (often at her home) to support local groups. We have attended her wine events at Misiones to Kino, Kauil in Cabo San Lucas, and 7 Palmas in San Jose del Cabo. We are also attending her Wine and Whales event in San Ignacio in March.

Tuesday, February 7th Winemaker Pairing Dinner at Kauil at 6:30 pm with Erick Plata. Only 6 spaces left. Use Evite to sign up.
Wednesday, February 8th, an informal wine tasting with Erick Plata, the winemaker for those that could not attend Tuesday’s event. Start time 5:15 pm. Limited to 16ppl.
Possible intimate 3 or 4-course winemaker dinner with Erick Plata at Dawn Solomon’s house Wednesday starting at 7 pm. A minimum of 8 people is needed to schedule. Use Evite to sign up.
Saturday, February 18th, 4-6 pm a Charity Purse Auction for Feeding Los Cabo Kids at Bajo La Luna. Tickets are $25 or 500 pesos and include a welcome cocktail. Join us for lots of fun Tickets are available through me Patty de Camp, and others.

Thursday, March 2nd Rose & Sushi Luncheon at the Wine Market in Plaza Pioneros. This event only runs an hour with 3 courses of sushi and either three dry Roses or one white and two roses. The event needs a minimum of 8 people so sign up via Evite http://evite.me/dcZybEGBJU
Monday, March 6th, 6:30 pm at Torote Restaurant. A new farm-to-table restaurant in Cabo. Dawn Solomon has organized two events here in October and November 2022. The menu completed and Evite coming soon.
